Rehoboth Christian School New High School – In Progress
The new high school is attached to Rehoboth’s Sports & Fitness center, which was completed in 2007 in Gallup, NM. The new high school will be a two story building, 29,000 sq. ft. building, composing of 9 classrooms, 2 labs, a media lab, academic support, administration offices, and a multi-purpose area. Project consists of concrete masonry, steel, metal framing, and exterior stucco. New high school will be completed in Fall, 2018. Building dedication will be Sept. 28, 2018. Area: 29,000 sq. ft. A new sports and fitness facility that houses a 1,200 seat gymnasium, locker facilities, full court auxiliary gym, state of the art weight and cardio room, multi-purpose class room, band room, lobby and concession stand. The facility is designed to provide a clear view to the Rehoboth Hogbacks from the entrance lobby which is a central gathering space for the multiple social events hosted by the school. The project included site clearing and grubbing, earthwork, asphalt concrete paving, concrete curb and gutters, sidewalks, concrete foundation, stain concrete flooring, steel framing, wood fabrications, carpentry, building insulation, stucco finish, interior architectural woodwork, thermoplastic membrane roofing system, metal doors & frames, wood doors & frames, aluminum framed windows, hardware, storage shelving, gypsum board walls, VCT flooring, athletic wood floor, resilient athletic flooring, interior and exterior painting, interior plumbing fixtures & accessories, fire extinguishers, air tempering system, plumbing, electrical and fire suppression. The entire facility is equipped with up-to-date networking technology. Area: 17,000 sq. ft. Completion: Dec.2007. Cost: $8.7M
LAM in associate with RMKM Architecture completed the McKinley County Justice Complex (MCJC) project in December of 2013. The new courthouse is now functioning as an integrated “one-stop” justice complex which has enlarged and brought together these related functions into one centralized location and satisfies the 15-20 year goals for the Magistrate Court and Public Defender. The Public Defender has occupied the renovated court space with connection to the Adult Detention / Public Defender Interface area. The new courthouse design includes three new interior elevators to deliver complete segregation / isolation of public, court staff / judges and criminals. The existing facility had dangerous cross-circulation of staff, public and criminals which can lead to unwanted interactions. There are twice as many courtrooms as the original facility, bullet resistive partitions and glass between the public and staff on the ground floor and a dedicated area for public security screening. Recently the MCJC was awarded the NAIOP Award in December of 2014 and the ENR Southwest Magazine for Best Government / Public Project Buildings in November of 2014. Area: 22,000 sq. ft. A new Senior Center for the community of Church Rock. The design is a 4,381 sq. ft. facility with ADA compliant bathrooms with showers, activity rooms, large dining/company room and commercial kitchen. The design responds to a contextual and cultural conditions in a modern and innovative way. The dining room offers panoramic views of the Red Rock and Church Rock Village to the North. The use of natural wood and a central fire place are symbolic of traditional Navajo Architecture. Area: 4,381 sq. ft. Cost: $1.5 M
New construction for a Media Center and office space for KWRK / KTNN Radio Station. The facility has 3 radio broadcast suites. 5 production studios, administrative offices and conference room. The Server / Computer room is displayed as the heart of the facility. The design provides state-of-the-art radio broadcast studio suites. Area: 7,360 sq. ft. Cost: $250K
As Architect a Head Start Facility design is flexible to allow for two head start classrooms. One class can be early childcare class based on enrollment. Both classrooms have reading lofts that offer panoramic views of the Black Mesa Valley and mountain range. A common space is provided for Parent, Child, Teacher, gatherings, and social functions. The facility has a full service commercial kitchen. Area: 4,083. Cost: $128K
The design consists of interior and exterior renovation of an existing building the area of work consists of an open seating area which promotes a student-friendly environment to meet with College administrators at window counter spaces. Office spaces can incorporate open areas and cubicles, individual offices, and meeting room. Area: 6,412 sq. ft. / 1,600 sq. ft. (new addition). Cost: $3M
This project is a single story Senior Center Faciliy. The design conforms to state and local regulations as we as accessible design for disabled persons. The facility also provides a dining room, a kitchen, activity room, administration office, craft room and laundry room. Area: 4,957. Cost: $83K
LAM Corporation completed work on a BIA replacement school for Dilkon Community School in Arizona. LAM evaluated the existing school campus, roads, utilities, housing and elementary school and provided planning for renovation, new construction and demolition all within the schools 17 acre campus compound. A major goal was to avoid disruption of daily functions on site so careful planning and organization has been critical in this project. Cost: $19.1M
